Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 23 September 2026
Scope of this policy
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all paid courses, training modules, live workshops, and related digital services offered by clipperly that focus on professional video operation, live signal management, content distribution, camera work, and the creation of high-quality feeds for news and broadcasting. It covers purchases made through our website by customers located in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are processed, when contracts are formed, and the conditions under which cancellations or refunds may be granted.
Prices, currencies, taxes and additional charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Where applicable, value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate is included in the displayed price. No additional charges apply unless explicitly stated at checkout, such as optional certification fees or extended access periods. Currency conversion fees imposed by your payment provider are your responsibility and are not controlled by clipperly.
Accepted payment methods, authorisation and security
We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and approved digital wallets. All transactions are processed through secure third-party payment gateways that comply with PCI DSS standards. Payment authorisation occurs immediately upon submission of your order. clipperly does not store full card details. If a payment is declined, you will be notified and the order will not proceed until a valid payment method is provided.
Order confirmation and contract formation
Upon successful payment you will receive an automated confirmation email containing your order reference, course access details, and a copy of this policy. A binding contract is formed only when we send this confirmation. Until that point, clipperly reserves the right to decline any order without liability.
Cancellation rights and cooling-off periods
Under UK consumer law you normally have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase during which you may cancel without giving a reason. However, because our courses consist of digital content, this right is lost once you begin accessing or downloading the materials or start a live session. You will be asked to confirm that you understand this waiver before access is granted.
Refund eligibility, exclusions and non-refundable items
Refunds are available only in limited circumstances: if a course is cancelled by clipperly, if technical faults prevent access for an extended period that we cannot resolve, or if you cancel within the cooling-off period before accessing any content. No refunds are given for partial completion, change of mind after access begins, or failure to meet personal study goals. Promotional or heavily discounted courses may be excluded from refund eligibility as stated at purchase.
Step-by-step procedure to request a refund
To request a refund, contact us using the details below and include your order reference, the date of purchase, and a clear statement of the reason. Requests must be submitted in writing via the contact form on our website or by email to [email protected]. We will acknowledge receipt within two working days and request any further information needed to assess the claim.
Inspection, approval, rejection and notification
Each request is reviewed individually. We may inspect account access logs to verify whether content has been viewed or downloaded. You will be notified of the decision within ten working days. If approved, a refund will be processed. If rejected, we will explain the reasons and outline any alternative options such as course transfer or credit.
Refund method, processing time and receipt of funds
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing typically takes five to ten working days, although bank transfer refunds may take up to fifteen working days depending on your provider. You will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been issued.
Special rules for digital content, subscriptions and services
Our courses are supplied in digital format. Once you have started streaming or downloading material, or attended a live session, the transaction is considered fully performed and the right to cancel is lost. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least seven days before the renewal date. No partial refunds are issued for unused portions of a subscription period.
Failed payments, duplicate charges, chargebacks and suspected fraud
In the event of a failed payment you must provide an alternative method within seven days or the order will be cancelled. Duplicate charges will be investigated and refunded promptly once verified. Chargebacks are treated as potential fraud and may result in immediate suspension of access and further investigation. We reserve the right to report suspected fraudulent activity to the relevant authorities.
Mandatory consumer rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. If any provision of this policy is found to conflict with mandatory law, the statutory provision will prevail.
Contact route, policy changes and last-updated date
For questions about this policy or to make a request, please use the contact form on our Contacts page or email [email protected]. We may update this policy from time to time; the current version will always be available on our website with the last-updated date clearly displayed. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
